A special way to celebrate a birthday is to join Willowdale’s Birthday Book Club. Your child will have the opportunity to “adopt” a new book for the library in his or her name. We ask for a donation of at least $5.00 to help cover the cost of the book (in cash or check made out to Willowdale) This can be done on the actual birthday or any other convenient day. Summer birthdays may be celebrated on the “half-birthday.”
What are the benefits of joining the Birthday Book Club?
- A special book plate with your child’s name and picture will be placed in the book.
- The student will be the first person to check out the book.
- Birthday Book Club members will receive a special goody bag at the end of the month they join. (A special thanks to YoYo Berri for donating a free treat coupon for each goody bag!)
- Members will benefit from the experience of giving the gift of a book to their school community.
If your student would like to join Willowdale's Birthday Book Club, please turn in the form sent home their birthday month or just send an envelope with the donation and student name and birthday to the library.
